Oxygen

Industrial application of oxygen started in the middle of the XXth century, after the invention of gas expansion turbines, in other words, devices for liquidizing and separation of the liquid oxygen. In metallurgy, the converter mode of steel production or mattes` processing is related to application of oxygen. Oxygen in bombs is widely used for gas cutting and welding. In food industry, oxygen is recorded as a food additive E948 as propellant and packing gas. In chemical industry, oxygen is used as oxidant agent in numerous syntheses.
